Terms & Conditions

Civic Marquee

  1. The management and stewardship of the Civic Centre Vernon Street Marquee Sign is the responsibility of the Nelson Regional Sports Council
  2. All bookings of the Marquee sign shall go through the NRSC office (352-3989 nrsc@telus.net)
  3. Renters shall be NRSC Members in good standing
  4. Marquee sign rental is available only to not-for-profit Community Sport groups and/or Civic Center licensees
  5. Priority shall be as follows:
    1. Civic Building Users and Businesses (e.g. Gymnastics, Soccer Quest, NRSC)
    2. Community Sport Group events (e.g. Leafs, Soccer / Baseball /XC skiing registrations)
    3. Other Community Interests
  6. Flexibility with multiple scheduling needs shall be at the discretion of the NRSC
    (e.g. simultaneous registrations dates for two sport groups)
  7. Prepayment is required for sign rental
  8. Rental periods and Fees are as follows:
    Option # of Panels Duration Price
    A 1 1 week $25.00
    B 2 1 week $50.00
    C 1 2 consecutive weeks $45.00
    D 2 2 consecutive weeks $85.00
    In the case of multiple changes (e.g. playoff dates) to the same basic sign an additional $10 shall be due per change
  9. Maximum rental period is 2 consecutive weeks, unless advertising space is available at the end if the second week.
  10. Maximum rental over the period of one year shall not exceed 6 weeks total, unless there is no other booking for further requested time and space.
  11. A minimum of 1 month notice is required for submission of sign request, unless advertising space is empty at the time of booking, or there is no previous waitlist.
  12. A submission for a sign request shall be accepted no more than 3 months in advance.
